Sex and the City, tipping points in baseball and more summer happenings around town

**

It’s fitting that “Sex and the City” is returning to the small screen in the fall, marking the 20th anniversary of the debut of the HBO original series. The 2008 movie sequel made plenty of cash and brought Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda back into the spotlight. And the original series served as a stepping stone for not only Lena Dunham’s own HBO show, “Girls,” but also the successful “Broad City” and Rachel Dratch’s NBC comedy, “AP Bio.” Another actress who turned out to be a bonafide TV star over the years was Sarah Jessica Parker, who played Carrie. Check out HuffPost’s capsule of a few of Parker’s most memorable TV moments.
